WARRENVILLE, S.C. - Entered into rest Sunday, April 3, 2005 at Aiken Regional Medical Center, Mrs. Anna Lillian Hodson Patterson, age 91, of Warrenville, wife of the late Clarence W. Patterson, Sr. and daughter of the late John Henry Hodson and the late Ida Kent Hodson. She is survived by a son, C.W. 'Buddy' Patterson and his wife, Brenda Patterson of Beech Island, SC; two daughters, Margaret Patterson Smith and her husband, Rob Smith of Beech Island and Joyce Patterson Bell and her husband, Kirk Bell of Aiken; grandchildren, Shannon Smith of Charleston, SC, Robbie Smith of Aiken, Jason Patterson of Langley, Jennifer and Miranda Patterson of Beech Island and Stephanie Anderson of Gloverville, SC; one great grandson, Austin Patterson of Langley; three sisters, Sarah Williams of Warrenville, Elizabeth Ward of Jacksonville, Fla. and Bert Thompson of Augusta and one brother, Arthur Hodson, Gloverville. She was born in Aiken County and lived most of her life in Warrenville before moving to Trinity Lutheran Home in Aiken in 2003 and was currently a resident of Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center in Aiken. She was a member of Warrenville First Baptist Church and a member of the Laura Ellen Fidelis Sunday School Class. She was a former member of the Warrenville Women's Club, the Autumn Years Club and the Lesiure Club. Mrs. Patterson worked and retired from Graniteville Company. During the mid 1940's, she lived for a while in Panama City and worked in the shipyard. She lived in Worthy County, Georgia for a short time. She will long be remembered for her kindness and good will toward others. She was a loving mother who always put her children first and loved her family, friends, church and community. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in Warrenville First Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Cartin and Rev. Arthur Zawislak officiating. The interment will follow in the Graniteville Cemetery. Memori al may be made to Council on Aging, Aiken, SC or Warrenville First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 338, Warrenville, SC 29851. The deacons of Warrenville First Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Joyce and Kirk Bell's residence #2 Whitemarsh Dr., Aiken, SC or tonight, April 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
