DAVIS _ Anna Georgina Margaret (nee Worthing) Margaret died February 18, 2007 in her 89th year. Born in Winnipeg. She attended UBC and U of T, and was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. In 1942 she married Jack Davis, who later was a long-serving MP and MLA for parts of Vancouver's North Shore. After she and Jack moved to Shawinigan Falls she lived in Oxford, England while Jack did his Rhodes Scholarship. After their children were born in Ottawa, she moved to Vancouver's Point Grey and then West Vancouver. Margaret was outgoing, energetic and looked forever young. Margaret loved visiting Yellowpoint Lodge for 40 years. She attended West Van United Church regularly and was a lively participant at the nearby Seniors Centre. She was a founding shareholder of Hollyburn Country Club and played tennis there and at the West Van Tennis Club into her 80's. She loved meeting new friends at political, athletic and artistic events. She is fondly remembered by her children Merilyn (Michael McKelvey), John, and Steven (Suni Boraston), her grandchildren Phaedra, Michelle, Alex, Susan, Katrina, and Andrew and niece Joan. She is reunited with her loving husband Jack, who died in 1991. A service will be held at West Van United Church, 2062 Esquimalt Ave, West Vancouver, at 11 am Saturday, February 24. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lions Gate Hospital would be appreciated.
