Anna Estella Brown, 76, died July 29, 2005, at Laurel Pointe Health and Rehab. She was born in Forsyth, Ga., and lived in Fort Pierce for 63 years, coming from Mi ami. She was a domestic worker for private homes. She was a 1947 graduate of Lincoln Park Academy. She was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Elks-Pride of St. Lucie Temple 853, where she was instrumental in starting the annual Holiday Prayer Breakfast. She also served in the education and civil liberties departments. Survivors include her son, Gregory Wayne Johnson, of Fort Pierce; daughters, Brenda Johnson, Debra Bigham, Bonnie Johnson, all of Fort Pierce; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Troy Johnson Sr. and Tom Brown; sons, Troy Johnson Jr. and Brian Johnson; daughter, Carolyn Johnson; and brothers, Albert Hill and Samuel Hill. SERVICE: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 5 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home. A service will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 6 at the funeral home chapel in Fort Pierce. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fort Pierce. A guest book may be signed at www.stonebrothersfuneralhome.com.
