ANNA E. JOHNSON HOBART, IN Anna E. Johnson, age 88 of Hobart, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010. She was born on April 21, 1922 in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Lindblom High School with the class of 1940. Anna married Stanley Johnson on September 5, 1964. She was a longtime member of Augustana Lutheran Church, a member of the Ladies Circle and a charter member of Tops and a big White Sox fan. Anna is survived by her sister, Dorothy Jean (late John) Coyle of Palos Hills, IL; one brother, Donald W. Whynot of FL; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by her parents: John Leroy and Anna Whynot; her husband, Stanley Johnson; and one brother, Leroy Whynot. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, 207 Kelly Street, Hobart with Rev. Charles Strietelmeier officiating. Burial will follow at Blake Cemetery, Portage. Visitation is Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Call (219) 762-3013.
