LUCAS Anna C. Lucas, age 91, of Fairfield, the widow of John F. Lucas, died peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2005 in the Carolton Convalescent Home. Born in Flint, Michigan, Mrs. Lucas was a resident of Fairfield for the past sixty-seven years. Prior to her retirement, she was a machine operator with CASCO - Connecticut Auto Supply Company for over twenty-four years. She was an active member of St. Pius Church. She also loved to cook and bake and especially loved her grandchildren. Mrs. Lucas is survived by her two devoted sons, Robert G. Lucas and John A. Lucas and his wife, Boni, both of Fairfield; two adoring grandchildren, John C. Lucas and his wife, Allison and Samantha L. Bernstein and her husband, Richard, both of Fairfield and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her three brothers, John , Stephen & George Kalakay; one sister, Sister Mary Louise Kalakay, SSCM and her loving granddaughter, Jacqueline Lucas. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 leaving the Shaughnessey Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield at 9:20 a.m. to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church.
