Ann Wilson Ann Wilson peacefully passed away on Thursday February 16, 2012 at the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital. Ann was born on January 14, 1929 on the farm in the Cresswell District near Bankend, Saskatchewan to Mike and Polly (Buchno) Litwin, and was the third oldest of ten children. Ann grew up on the family farm where life was hard, yet everyone enjoyed visiting with neighbors and enjoyed life as a whole, like when Ann and her brother Mike use to climb trees and get the baby owls out of their nest before the mother owl came back. Going to school Ann and her siblings used to walk two and a half miles one way to attend Clarkson School. Ann completed her Grade 8 at Clarkson School. They loved to go to the country dances, where they would sneak out, walk to the dances, dance all night, then walk back home before their dad got up so he wouldn't know that they had gone. When Ann was old enough she left the family farm and went to British Columbia to work at the cannery, where she sent money home to help the family. Some time later Ann returned to Saskatchewan where she worked at various jobs. Ann met Peter Deschner and after courting for a while they were married on September 17, 1953. Over the next six years they had three children Dale, Charlene and Mark. Then suddenly life as Ann knew it changed, when her husband Peter was tragically killed on June 1, 1960. It was a great life changing situation loosing the one she loved, and being left alone with three small children. Ann persevered by seeking employment and raising the children. Many years later Ann met Raymond Wilson and they where married on September 26, 1970. The following year the family moved to Edmonton, Alberta where Ray was posted in the Armed Forces. Four years later Ray retired and they returned to Regina. A few years later Ray passed away November 17, 1992. On July 8, 1998 Ann's world fell apart when her oldest son Dale suddenly passed away, life was never the same for Ann. Ann loved to go shopping, planting a garden, flowers, trees and watching them grow. She loved watching the birds in the yard. She also enjoy music especially Ukrainian and Country music.
