Ann T. (Weisslinger) Murphy, 83, of Marshfield died April 14, 2015. Born in Stoughton, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Helen (Smith) Weisslinger. She attended Sacred Heart School in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School. Ann worked at the Marshfield School Superintendent departments central office for 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in South Weymouth until 1959 and a member of St. Ann by the Sea Choir in Marshfield from 1978-2006. Ann loved too sing and sang at two of her daughters weddings. Ann enjoyed baking and made things to be able to give to those whom she knew enjoyed eating her pickles, jelly, fudge, etc. She also enjoyed knitting and making Christmas ornaments. Ann was one of the co-chairman of the Prayer Shawl Ministry at St. Ann by the Sea Church. She leaves her husband, John A. Murphy; three daughters, Karen L. Kerry and her husband John of Plymouth, Deborah A. Poirier and her husband Michael of Seattle, Wash., and Brenda S. Gibbons and her husband Larry of Kingston; 7 grandchildren, Patrick, Devin and Ashley-Ann Kerry, Justin and Michael Poirier, Joseph and Colleen Gibbons; and 7 great-grandchildren; her brother, Francis J. Weisslinger Jr. of Scituate; 2 sisters, Irene Swan of Marshfield and Mary Moore and her husband William of Yarmouth Port. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139, Marshfield, Monday, April 20, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be in St. Josephs Church, 270 Main St., Kingston, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
