->Ann L. SmithPATTERSON - Ann L. Smith of Patterson, NY, passed away Sunday July 29, 2012 in Carmel, NY, at the age of 77. She was born June 20, 1935 in Chicago, IL. She is daughter of the late Bertram and Louise (Lang) Rosenbaum. Ann had lived in Patterson all her life. She had owned Broad Meadow Lanes in Pawling. She also work for many years at Hunts Country Furniture in Wingdale, and later retired as bookkeeper for the Town of Patterson. Ann will be remembered by her family and friends as person who was very generous and kind, she loved to read, party and take vacations in the Caribbean. She was often seen cruising around Patterson in her Mustang convertible. Ann had been married to Bruce "One Buck" Nikola. She is survived by her beloved grandson Nicholas Nikola and his wife Abby. She was predeceased by her son Bertram in 2007 and her brother Paul in 1962. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday Aug. 2, 2012, 8:30 PM at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South St, Patterson, NY. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Contributions in her name may be made to the Putnam Humane Society, 68 Old Route 6, Carmel, NY 10512.
