ArtistLAKELAND -- Mrs. Ann Owen Morris of Lakeland died of pneumonia Thursday (Jan. 20, 2005) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 67.Born in Omega, Ga., on Sept. 15, 1937, Mrs. Morris came to Lakeland from Bartow five years ago. She was an artist active with the Blooming Arts Festivals in Bartow and Winter Haven. She was a member of the Altamonte Springs Art Guild, Bartow Art Guild and the Lakeland Art Guild. She was a member of The Ridge Art Guild, Imperial Arts Gallery and Arts of the Park in Lakeland. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bartow where she was formerly an administrative assistant for the United Methodist Youth Department and past president of the United Methodist Women.Mrs. Morris is survived by her husband, the Rev. Paul E. Morris; sons, Paul Morris Jr., Tampa, Thomas S. Morris, Orlando, Charles A. Morris, Nashville, Tenn., William Holden III, Atlanta, Randy O. Holden, Augusta, Ga.; sister, Jane Rakaczky, Sun Valley, Nev.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St., Bartow. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, 455 S. Broadway, Bartow. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 455 S. Broadway, Bartow, or the National Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1501 N.W. Ninth Ave., Miami.
