Brown, died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Emeritus Senior Living of Greenville.Born in Easley, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Tribble and Sarah Ellen Goldsmith Black. She was a former employee of Able Construction Company and Daniel Construction Company and was a charter member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the choir and the Presbyterian Women's Morning Circle. She is survived by a brother, Jack Black and his wife, Della, of Pickens; a sister-in-law, Fredrica Black, of Pickens; and many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her sisters, Ada Black McGovern, Frances Black Hastings, Margaret Black Martin, Betty Black Valley Ellison, June Black Kroeg and Caroline Black Kee; her brother, Bill Black; and a niece, Nancy McGovern. A funeral service will be conducted at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, Greenville, SC, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 1021 Hudson Road, Greenville, SC 29615, or to a charity of one's choice.
