Ann Brown, 77, Venice, died May 7, 2004, in St. Petersburg. She was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Centralia, Ill., and came to Venice in 1985 from Bethel Park, Pa. She retired as an assistant director of social work after 21 years at the Allegheny County Board of Public Assistance. She received a bachelor's degree in social science in 1948 from the University of Illinois and was a member of its alumni association. She was a member of Venice Power Squadron Auxiliary and Grace United Methodist Church of Venice. Survivors include her husband, Burton Clifford. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, with services to follow, at Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Venice Memorial Gardens. Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church Building Fund, 400 Field Ave., Venice, FL 34285.
