SARATOGA SPRINGS Ann Jones Armstrong, of Salem Drive, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at her residence. She was 76. Born on December 21, 1926 in Saratoga Springs, she was a daughter of the late Frank W. and Margaret (Berrigan) Jones and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and was a member of St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church. A longtime member of the Saratoga Winter Club, she was a championship speedskater and received numerous medals and awards. She began work as a legal secretary for the Leary and Fullerton Law firm in City Hall and retired as chief court clerk from the Saratoga Springs City Court, after working for over 38 years for the New York State Unified Court System. She retired on December 9, 1998. Married on June 4, 1961 to the late Arthur E. Armstrong, who died on December 23, 2001, she was also predeceased by her sister, Rosemary Gorham and one brother, Francis P. Jones. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur P. and Judith Armstrong of Clifton Park, William J. and Rose Armstrong of Saratoga Springs and Thomas A. and Keziah Armstrong of Schuylerville; two daughters, Susan A. Armstrong of Henniker, N.H. and Lori A. La Freniere and her husband Rick, both of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two brothers, John F. Jones of Summerville, S.C. and Robert J. Jones of Wilton; several nieces, nephews, cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday in St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave. Burial will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
