Anita-Lee Fitz-James, née en 1930, conjointe de Mike Fitz-James, fille de George et Leila, est décédée le 29 mars 2007. Veuillez consulter son avis de décès ici:
FITZ-JAMES _ Anita Lee (nee Slater) Anita was born December 5, 1930 in Edmonton, Alberta and passed away peacefully March 29, 2007 in Lions Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, with family by her side. Predeceased by her father George, mother Leila (Babe), brother Graham, sister Marilyn, and husband Mike. She is survived by and will be forever missed by her beloved family, daughter Stephanie Miles (John Sherstobitoff), son Peter Miles, daughter Hilary Miles, and granddaughters Laura, Kelly, and Sara. She also leaves her sisters, Arlene, Shirley, and Linda, and brothers Eddy (Diane), Michael and Geoff as well as many nieces and nephews. She had many fond memories of special friends John, Lloyd, Eric, Raymond, Manuel, and Garry. She will be dearly missed by her devoted feline companions Amigo and Sunny and her canine friends Lola and Riley. Anita was a graduate of King Edward High School (1949), excelling at track and field. She attended the VGH School of Nursing (graduating 1954) and later worked for a medical office in West Vancouver while raising her family. She had a life-long love of sports, enjoying time outdoors skiing, boating and fishing, and indoors watching hockey and football (or any other sport worth a small wager). In retirement her sense of adventure led to extensive traveling. Thoroughbred horse racing also became a passion and she dearly loved her horses and all her friends of the backstretch at Hastings Park. Throughout her life Anita could often be found knitting and doing crafts (Chihuahua sweaters were a specialty). She was also an accomplished gardener and her overflowing pots of flowers were often the envy of the neighbourhood. We will remember her with love in our hearts every spring when her Lily of the Valley blooms in our gardens... There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Wildlife Rescue Association of BC. "My life was a great adventure and I loved it" "Adios, vaya con Dios"
