Angela K. AdamsAngela Kay Steenson Adams, age 44, joined her mother, Sandra, in heaven to reside with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Nov. 12. 2014, after an extended illness with MDS (leukemia). She is survived by her husband, Richard; one daughter, Kaleigh; and a son, Caleb. She was born July 30, 1970, in Decatur, Alabama to Bill and Sandra Steenson. Angie was a homemaker and devoted mother who enjoyed stamping, crocheting, and reading. Her relationship with God was evidenced by her faith and continuous prayer life. Angie will be especially remembered for her tenaciousness to live defying all odds to extend her time with her family. She is best known for her love for others, her sense of humor, and her commitment to live every moment with her children. Survivors include her father and stepmother, Bill Steenson (Pat), of Decatur, Alabama; and her brothers, Jeff Pettit (Michelle), of Sebree, Kentucky, Greg Steenson (Robin), of Decatur, Alabama, and Jason Steenson (Stacy), of Hartselle, Alabama; her aunt, Elaine Boyett (Willard), of Hillsboro, Alabama; cousins, nephews, nieces, and others whom she loved dearly; and a special friend and marrow donor, Dale Estabrooks.A celebration of life service will be held at noon Saturday, Nov. 15, at Saint James Methodist Church in Florence, Alabama with Chuck Canterberry officiating. Relatives and friends are invited for the visitation at the church at 10 a.m. prior to the service. Angie will be laid to rest in Decatur City Cemetery. Pallbearers are Caleb Adams, Jason Steenson, Noah Brechtel, Wesley Adams, Casey Bonds, Kyle Hunter, and Marvin Minton.The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to Saint James United Methodist Church, attention Webcast Fund at 610 Cox Creek Parkway, Florence, AL 35630.
