Alyre "Babe" R. Richard 1923 - 2003 Alyre "Babe" Richard, 79, of Dieppe, and formerly of Parlee Beach, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, December 5, 2003. Born in Moncton, NB February 2, 1923, he was the son late Adelard and Amanda (Girouard) Richard. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Point du Chene, and attended Cathedrale N-D L'Assomption in Moncton. He was retired from the Transportation Dept of the C.N.R. Babe was a veteran of W.W.II served overseas with the Royal Canadian Army. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Shediac, a member of Pine Needles Golf Club, the Beausejour Curling Club. He and his wife Doris loved to travel, as they wintered in Florida for 19 years. He is survived by wife: Doris (Cormier) Richard, sisters: Orpha Daigle (Yvon) of Riverview, Doris Richard of Moncton, brothers: Edgar Richard (Alice) and Henri Richard all of Moncton, Raymond Richard (Irene) of Oshawa, On. and Norman of Moncton and by several nieces and nephews. Visitation is at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home 171 Lutz St. Moncton on Monday, December 8, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedrale N-D L'Assomption on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at 11:00 am with Fr. P. Breau officiating. Parish Prayers will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday December 8, 2003 at 8:30 pm Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations to the Oncology Dept.
