Hillsdale — Alyce Marie Burke, (nee Torney), 100, of Hillsdale, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 21. Beloved wife of the late Martin C. Burke for 37 years. Devoted mother of Dr. Brian Burke and his wife Olga, Ellen Lake and her husband Gregory. Loving grandmother of Yon Burke. Predeceased by her two brothers, Dr. Vincent Torney and Dr. John Lukacs and her sister, Ellen Powers. Alyce was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist R. C. Church, a member of the choir and meticulously cared for the altar for many years. Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Inc., 155 Kinderkamack Road, Park Ridge, with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist R. C. Church, Hillsdale, all on Friday, Jan. 27. Interment will be in Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alyce may be made to Bergen Center for Child Development, 140 Park St., Haworth, NJ 07641.
