SMITH Alton Mariner Smith, age 101, of Hemlock Drive, Ansonia, died January 17, 2005. He was predeceased by his wife, Emma, four brothers and one sister. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Richard Harkins and sister-in-law, Iona Hale, both of Ansonia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 47 Franklin Street, Ansonia. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church. The Jenkins-King Funeral Home, 12 Franklin Street, Ansonia, is entrusted with arrangements.
