CLIFTON PARK Alphonse J. Briere, 84, of Beach Road, Clifton Park died suddenly at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, Sunday, December 7, 2003 after being stricken at his home. He was born and educated in Cohoes and was the son of the late Arthur and Grace Masse Briere. He is the husband of the late Margaret Briere. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Cafariella of Burnt Hills; brother of the late Melvina Briere. Grandfather of Louis Cafariella and Tami Hughes of Schenectady and William and Barbara Cafariella of Malta; great-grandfather of Louis, Joseph, Jacob and Michael Cafariella. Funeral Thursday evening 6:00 at St. Mary's Church, Crescent where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at St. Mary's Church, Crescent Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford, Friday with a 10:00 a.m. prayer service at the church.
