Alma McDonald Smith, age 81, of Florence, passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2004.There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery with Brother Tommy James officiating. Interment will follow.Mrs. Smith was a native of Loudon County, Tenn., having lived in Florence for the past 60 years.She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Smith, and son, Bronce Edwin McDonald.Survivors include her son, Joseph Edward McDonald and wife, Jeanne, of Florence; sisters, Audrey Copenhaver, of Etowah, Tenn., Lois Broadwin, of New York.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Tabernacle Building Fund, 3601 Florence Blvd., Florence, AL 35634.Spry Serenity Chapel of Florence is directing.
