Alma Dolores Miller, 86, Columbus, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2007, at Hickory Creek, Columbus. Mrs. Miller was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Seymour. She was a former three-time president of the Business Professional Women, operated the Seymour Parks Concession Stands from 1956 to 1971 and worked in the Seymour sewer office for 17 years. She also volunteered her service to the Senior Citizens Center in Seymour. Born April 11, 1921, in Brownstown, she was a daughter of David Taylor and Alma Mae Fleenor Foster, both of whom preceded her in death. On May 10, 1941, she married Robert D. "Bob" Miller, who preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter; Sondra (Dennis) Tubbs, Vancouver, Wash.; two sons, Robert D. (DaWinda) Miller, Paris Crossing, and Terry (Vicky) Miller, Seymour; eight grandchildren, Troy D. (Shelley) Miller, Angela Dawn (Jeremy) Garland, Billy (Sheila) VanAntwerp, Dale Tubbs, Keith Tubbs, Terry "T.J." (Suzannah) Miller Jr., Rachael Murphy and Nathaniel Robert Miller; six great-grandchildren, Destinee Miller, Ashley Dawn Miller, Brayden Murphy, Gabriella Murphy, Kaydence Miller and Kaelyn Miller; two sisters, Hazel Marie Miranda, Brownstown, and Katherine Stout, Seymour; and a brother, Kenneth Lee Foster, Paris Crossing. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Blankenship, and a brother, Wilbur Stanley Foster. The Rev. Steve Greene will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
