-> Savannah - Mrs. Allie Elizabeth Smith Miller, 81, died on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at Moss Oaks Nursing Home. Born in Floyd County, Mrs. Miller had lived in Meldrim for twenty-eight years before moving to Savannah where she lived for the past ten years. She was a member of the Meldrim Baptist Church, was the former owner/operator of Miller's Grocery in Meldrim and was preceded in death by her husband, P.A. "Sleepy" Miller. Survivors include her children, Billie Jean McKuhen of Meldrim, Byron L. Miller of Meldrim, Tommy J. Miller of Hinesville and Roger Miller of Meldrim; brother, John David Smith of Meldrim; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral: 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Meldrim Baptist Church. Mrs. Miller will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. at the Church. Officiating will be Rev. Steve McCoy and Rev. Jimmy Carlisle. Pallbearers will be Greg, John, Timmy and Randy Miller, T ravis Biggins and Kylan Harville. Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim. Remembrances may be given to Hospice Savannah, P.O.
