Mr. Smith was born in Clearwater, FL and was a son of the late William Theodore and Sallie Louise Taylor Smith. He served in the United States Air Force and was retired from the former Crosslin Lumber Company of Eagleville. Mr. Smith was a long time member and Elder at Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church.He was preceded in death by his wife, Merle Smith who died in 2009.Mr. Smith is survived by a daughter, Linda Smith Adams and a son, Eddie Smith, both of Murfreesboro, TN; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.Visitation will be Sunday, April 8, 2012 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Rockvale, TN. Family members will also receive friends at the Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Joyce Merritt and Rev. Christian Smith officiating.
