Allen Martin Hanks, 77, widower of Alice Cobb Hanks, of 518 W. Greer St., died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Clarence E. Hanks and Mae Gambrell Hanks Carraway. Survivors: A son, Brad Hanks, of Honea Path; brothers, Billy and Bruce Hanks, both of Honea Path; a sister, Ruby Thompson, of Clemson; and stepsisters, Helen Needham and Ellen Green, both of Charleston. Predeceased: A brother, Don Hanks. Visitation: 6 to 8 tonight, at Pruitt Funeral Home. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday, at Eastview Cemetery.
