Alice V. Jordan, 96 PORTLAND -- Alice V. Jordan, 96, of Westbrook, died on Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at the Barron Center. Alice was born in Westbrook on Dec. 12, 1912, the daughter of the late William H. and Alice V. (Bennett) Jordan. She attended local area schools and graduated from Deering High School. She was a shoe cutter for Holme, Stickney & Walker for 39 1/2 years before retiring and greatly enjoyed all types of crafts. The last of her immediate family, she is survived by a niece, Fern Gagnon of Rye, N.Y. A special heartfelt thanks goes out to the staff at he Barron Center, for their loving care and support of Alice and her family and friends. Interment took place at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland. Arrangements are under the direction of Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. In lieu of flowers donations in Alice's memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
