ObituaryALICE V. FREEMANWILLSEYVILLE - Alice V. Freeman, 86, of 80 VanDerBogart Rd., Willseyville, died Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at Oak Hill Manor. Born October 20, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Milton W. and Anna Aiken VanDeBogart.After earning a masters degree, Mrs. Freeman taught first grade in the Catskill School District for 28 years after which she retired to Las Cruces, New Mexico. She then returned to this area where she made her home with her son for the past seven years. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed gardening and bird watching.Mrs. Freeman is survived by her sons, Leslie (Ruth) Freeman of Willseyville, Kenneth (Kathi) Freeman of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Billy and Charlie Freeman; great-granddaughter, Codie Freeman; brother, Lawrence VanDeBogart; and sister, Ruth Havanec. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Freeman was predeceased by her brothers, Almus and Francis VanDeBogart; and sister, Emma Lokken.A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2003, at Kingdom Hall, 1201 Danby Rd., Ithaca. there are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the E.C. Wagner Funeral Home of Ithaca.
