Todd, Alice Rochester: June 19, 2008. Went off to be with her precious Briggsie, who passed away June 1, 2005. She is survived by her daughters Allyson Todd-Howe and Laurelyn Kruman, her son-in-law, Henry Kruman and her beloved grandsons, Jeffrey and David. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, Mil Apetz, nieces, Leslie Apetz, Jennifer Ferrel (Paul), Ellen Wuertzer (Chuck) and her great-nephews and niece, Willis and Clinton Ferrel and Lydia Wuertzer. Mom graduated from the University of Rochester in 1944. She was married in 1946, and spent her married life in Pittsford, New York, raising her two daughters. She worked for many years in the Pittsford school system and made a number of lifelong friends during her tenure there. She spent the last few years living at Linden Knolls Apartments, where she enjoyed the camaraderie of nightly bridge games and weekly outings with her fellow residents. She was a loyal and loving wife, a wonderful mother and a good friend to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by the people whose lives she touched while she enjoyed her well-spent 89 years. We would like to thank the caregivers at The Friendly Home for all they gave to Mom and for their assistance to us during such a difficult time. She couldn't have asked for anything better. So long, Mom. We love you and say "hi" to Dad for us. Friends may call TODAY, Friday, 7-9 pm at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.) where a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, 11 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The Friendly Home, 3156 East Ave., Rochester, NY 14618.
