Alice-T. Jordan, conjointe de John Jordan, fille de Michael et Agnes, est décédée le 19 mars 2014.
Alice T. Jordan passed away on March 19, 2014 (St. Joseph's Day). Born in Brooklyn, NY, Alice lived there until moving to Florida in 1967 (initially living in Fort Lauderdale and later Delray Beach). She worked as an educator in the Florida public school system and as a paralegal. A devoted Catholic and daily communicant, Alice served as a lector at Emmanuel Roman Catholic Church in Delray Beach. A rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet prayer warrior, Alice was a tireless advocate for preborn children, the sick and the dying. Through prayer, action and conversation, Alice touched many lives. She delighted in her vast brood of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and spent much of her time keeping in touch with her many cousins and friends. She was passionate about her family and Irish heritage. Alice's love affair with her husband John, a highly decorated WWII Navy pilot, was an inspiration to us all. They were extraordinarily good and holy people, a marvelous pair here on earth who are together again in Heaven. Alice is survived by brothers, Hugh McGuinness and Vince (Joy) McGuinness as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Alice was predeceased by her husband, John Jordan; parents, Agnes and Michael McGuinness of Donegal, Eire; two other brothers, Michael and Edward; and three sisters-in-law, Catherine, Rose and Betty. A Visitation will be held Thursday, March 27th from 8:00AM - 9:30AM at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home (745 NE 6th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33483) followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at Emmanuel Catholic Church (15700 S Military Trail, Delray Beach, FL 33484). Burial will follow at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in North Lauderdale.
