Alice M. Peters, 81, died Nov. 17, 2008, in Sebring. She was born in Sebring and lived in Lake Placid, coming from Martin County where she lived for many years. Before retirement, she was a retail receiving clerk. She was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include Paul Peters III of Sebring, Roger Peters of Sorrento, La., Jean Cooper of Stuart, Jesse Peters of Naples, Gloria Froelich of Lake Placid and Karl Peters of Sebring; sister, Grace VanWinkle of Avon Park; 25 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Paul Roy Peters Jr.; and a grandson. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 1708 Lagrange Ave., Sebring, FL 33870. SERVICES: Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Nov. 20 followed by services at 11 a.m. at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Sebring, with the Rev. Ken Lambert officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Venus United Methodist Church Cemetery in Venus. Arrangements are by Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring.
