CLIFTON PARK Alice M. Jackson, 81, of Route 146 in Clifton Park, died Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born in Clifton Park, N.Y. on November 17, 1923 to the late Henry and Ella (Hatlee) Johnson. She was the wife of the late Marshall W. Jackson whom she married July 5, 1941. A graduate of Mechanicville High School, she later was employed by the Shenendehowa Central Schools for over 30 years, retiring in 1990. She was head cook and assistant to the supervisor of food services. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Emmanuel United Church and a former member of the Clifton Park Halfmoon Emergency Ambulance Corps, as well as the Clifton Park Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth and her husband Daniel McCarthy of Mechanicville, Janet Kendall of Ballston Lake, Marsha and her husband William Serba of Ballston Lake; three brothers, James, Carl and Richard Johnson, all of Clifton Park; one sister, Dorothy Middleton of Ballston Spa. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one sister, Elsie Brown. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2005 at the Dunn Funeral Home, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville with the Reverend Juanita Steenbakkers, pastor of Emmanuel United Church in Mechanicville, officiating. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral service on Monday 4:00-7:30 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring in Clifton Park Village Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be to the Clifton Park Fire Department, Route 146, Clifton Park, NY 12065 or the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Emergency Ambulance Corps.
