ALICE M. HOUGH-SIMS POPLAR BLUFF, MO Alice M. Hough-Sims (nee Judge), age 95, of Poplar Bluff, MO, formerly of Cedar Lake, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in Poplar Bluff. She was born September 23, 1919 to Noble and Hazel (Corwin) Judge in Paulding, Ohio. Alice as an avid fisherman, and enjoyed finding treasures at the flea markets. She was a great gardener; she loved nature and being outside. Mom was a caregiver to many, human and four legged friends. Alice took in all the strays, loving each and every one of them; she was very devoted to her animals. Alice never met a stranger. She was a hard working person who did not know the words "can't, shouldn't and impossible". Alice is survived by daughters: Elaine Hough of Crown Point, IN and Deborah (Brett) Livingston of Poplar Bluff, MO; grandchildren: Jennifer Livingston of Lafayette, IN and Joshua Livingston of Springfield, MO; great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Moriah and Isaiah Livingston of Springfield, MO; sisters: Virginia Sapp of Portage, IN and Violet Adams of Granbury, TX; and Molly, her four legged friend of Crown Point. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; two sisters; and her husbands: Robert L. Hough; William Kavanaugh; and Olather Sims. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave./South St., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Shanahan officiating.
