ObituaryAlice Kathryn Disney Hart, age 97, a resident of Cape Coral since 1966, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2007 at Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral. She was predeceased by her husband, Theron T. Hart and sister, Lillian J. Bowman. She was born in Washington, D.C. to William and Jeannette Disney on May 16, 1910. After high school she began work at the U.S. Government Printing Office and continued there until age 55, having reached the position of Document Supervisor.She enjoyed her house and yard very much and worked every day with her plants and shrubs. She was also an avid square dancer and continued dancing until the last years of her life. She was also deeply involved in clubs and organizations including a lifetime membership in the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE). She had been a member of the NARFE since 1968 mainly as secretary for the majority of those years up to the present. She was also a longtime member of the National Capital Area Social Club for which she also served as secretary. Other memberships include the Democratic Club and the Council of Catholic Women of St. Andrew Catholic Church.Mrs. Hart is survived by her two nephews, Harry Bowman of Laurel, MD and William Bowman of Bethesda, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at St. Andrew Catholic Church with burial to follow in Coral Ridge Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 PM on Wednesday at Fuller- Cape Coral Funeral Home-Cremation Service, 3740 Del Prado Blvd.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hope Hospice of Lee County, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
