Alice F. Walkerof MarathonAlice F. Walker, 89, of Marathon, passed away at Cortland Memorial Hospital, Sunday, April 6, 2003. She was predeceased by her husband, James E. Walker; and one sister, Ethel Colman. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Arnold, DeRuyter, Eleanor (Robert) Miner, Homer; one son, Harold (Astrid) Walker, Lisle, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, Florence Caforio, N.J., several nieces, nephews and cousins. Alice was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Marathon, the Presbyterian Women's Association and the Maple Leaf Senior Center.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at 11 a.m., from the A.C. Baker & Son Funeral Home, 30 E. Main St., Marathon, NY. Rev. Vern Groves will be officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the A.C. Baker & Son Funeral Home Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of Marathon Senior Center.
