LEWIS, Alice E. 89, passed away Dec. 14, 2010. Born in Warsaw, NY, July 23, 1921, to the late McKinley and Nellie Gath (stepmother Estelle). She was the widow of the late LTC Donald M. Lewis, U.S. Army (Ret). After retirement they moved to Clearwater in 1968 where she was a loyal Sears employee for 30 years. She is survived by a daughter, Gail Smith and husband Charles of Orlando; a son Craig Lewis and wife Mardy of Orange Park, FL; five beloved grandchildren, David, Kenneth and Linda Smith, John and Christopher Lewis; seven great-grandchildren Dalton, Ivy, Tyler, Nicole, Tanner and James Smith and McKinley Lewis; Alice's surviving brother, McKinley Gath and wife Dee of Punta Gorda & Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her older brothers Buster and Ellis Gath of Wellsville, NY. Alice was a loving mother and grand-mother and enjoyed spending time with her family. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm, Sunday, Dec. 19, at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater.
