November 15, 2004 Mrs. Alice Elizabeth Baker, 62, of 139 Webster Avenue, Syracuse, NY, departed this life at home after a long illness. She was born in Mechanicsville, VA, to the late James and Ellan McKellar February 23, 1942. She attended and graduated fromschool in Mechanicsville and was a member of First Union Baptist Church in Virginia. Survivors: two daughters, Christians (Johnnie) Sherrod of Corapeake, NC, and Sherri Reeder of Syracuse; two sons, Andrew Cosby and Larry (Denise) Cosby, all of Syracuse; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister Helena Eure and nephew Akeem Stackhouse earlier this year. Services: Friday, 11 a.m., at Tucker Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Leslie Johnson officiating.
