Mrs. Alice Collins Howell - Port Wentworth -Mrs. Alice Collins Howell, 79, died on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Howell was born in Candler County where she graduated from Metter High School. She moved to Port Wentworth in 1942. Mrs. Howell was a homemaker who loved to sew and cook. She was a member of Jasper Springs Baptist Church where she attended the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Port Wentworth Senior Adult Center. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Donald E. Howell of Port Wentworth; four children and their spouses, David and Kathy Howell of Carrollton, Emma Jo and Paul Bright of Centerville, Stephen P. and Sheryl Howell of Rincon and Robert and Luann Howell of Rincon; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Gould of Port Wentworth and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral: 2 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of the funeral home. Rev. Johnny Bowen will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kenny Dumas, Jack Deloach, James Spillards, Gary Smith, Ray Bowen and Russell Bright. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class and Deacons from Jasper Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Remembrances may be given to Jasper Springs Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 62 Smith Avenue, Garden City, GA 31408. Thomas C.
