LAVOIE, Alfred Elwood Died peacefully October 27, 2003 at Island Lodge at the age of 79 years. Dearly loved husband of Florence and stepfather to Bruce Pipke. Alfred is also survived by his brother Stan (Joy) Lavoie as well as his sisters-in-law Grace Lavoie, Bea Mitchell, Doris Sutherland and brother-in-law Albert Goodeve. He was predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Margaret Lavoie, brother James, sisters and brothers-in-law, Chris and Lillian Grierson and Frank and Doris Tripp. Alfred was a member of many Square Dance Clubs. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road on Thursday, October 30 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at St. David and St. Martin Presbyterian Church, 444 St. Laurent Blvd., Ottawa, on Friday, October 31 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Capital Memorial Gardens. The family wish to extend their many thanks to the staff at Island Lodge. If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
