-- Alexander Davidson Lyon, 65, of Vernon, died peacefully at home on July 5, 2003. A graveside service for Mr. Lyon was held Tuesday, July 8, at 11 a.m. at the Tyler Cemetery in Vernon. Pastor Art Miller and Dennis Harris each gave words of comfort as well as several scriptural readings. Sandy Harris sang two songs a capella. The pallbearers who had the honor of taking Mr. Lyon to his final place of rest were his nephews Robert Miller Jr., Joseph Troniar, William Lyon Jr., Steven Harris, David Walker and Shawn Draper.Contributions in Mr. Lyon's memory may be made to the Windham County Humane Society.Arrangements were under the care of the Ker Westerlund and Fleming Funeral Home, 57 High St., Brattleboro.
