PALM COAST, Fla. -- Albert Wendell Jacques, 81 of Palm Coast, Fla., died March 11, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Concord, N.H., April 20, 1929, to the late Eric M. Jacques and Lottie Sargent Jacques. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning the Bronze Star. He worked as vice president of Cheshire County Savings Bank, Keene, retiring in 1985. He then took on the role of Marine Patrol officer on Newfound Lake for nine summers. He also served for many years as a volunteer for the Bridgewater, N.H., fire brigade. He was a lifetime member of the Keene, N.H., Elks Club No. 927, a lifetime member of the VFW, a member of the American Legion Post 0240 in Pensacola, Fla., a 50-year Mason and a member of the Bektash Shrine. IN HIS LIFE: Albert is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Geraldine Jacques of Florida; sons Michael Wesley Jacques (Deborah) of New Hampshire and Steven Dale Jacques (Patti) of Georgia; daughter Cynthia Willett (David) of Florida; and grandsons Ian Michael Jacques of New Hampshire and Peter Wesley Jacques of Rhode Island.
