COLLINS _ Albert W., passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, B.C., at the age of 97 years. Al is survived by Susan, his loving wife of 66 years. He leaves, also, his son, Ken Collins and daughter Janet and her husband Chris McGillicuddy; three grandchildren, Erin, Colleen and Devon; his one remaining sister, Kay Mewdell, of Saskatoon; nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Al worked in banking since the age of sixteen, except for the years in which he served his country as a mechanic and radar operator with the RCAF, attached to the RAF, during WWII. He served mainly in North Africa and Italy. Upon his return, he worked in many branches of the C.I.B.C., until his retirement. He and Susan enjoyed their retirement, filling in occasionally for vacationing bankers and enjoying their many canoeing trips together. Al was involved in starting up the Bridge Club in Abbotsford. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
