->LEE, ALBERT F. 1924-2011Albert F. Lee, 86, died peacefully Monday March 7th at the Loomis House Nursing Center in Holyoke, MA. He is predeceased by his first wife, Miriam, and survived by his wife, Kathleen and his cat, Middy. Albert was born in Springfield, MA to Vivian Pellesier and Albert F. Lee, Sr. He served in the Army Signal Corps during WWII, and later graduated from SUNY New Paltz and Columbia University Teachers College. He was an American History teacher for over 30 years with Pocantico Hills School District in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Albert loved to write plays, novels, music and play his beloved piano. He adored his family, pets, baseball and Italian food. In Southampton, MA he leaves behind daughter Nancy Darnold, son-in-law Mark, and grandchildren Melanie, Brian and Keith. In Queensbury, NY he leaves behind daughter Virginia Froats, son-in-law Kevin, and grandchildren Lindsay, Daniel and Melissa. In Mahopac, NY he leaves behind step-daughter Susan, her husband Robert, and grandchildren Michelle and Jennifer. Albert was buried in Peekskill, NY on Saturday, March 12th in a private family ceremony. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the staff and volunteers at the Loomis House Community who became part of Albert's second family. We would also like to thank Holyoke Hospice for all their comfort in his final days and hours. Because of Albert's deep love of all animals, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the Putnam Humane Society in Yorktown Heights, NY.
