(nee La Pierre). Passed way at Joseph Brant Hospital on Sunday, July 20, 2003 at the age of sixty-eight. Beloved wife of the late John George McGuire (1995). Dear mother of the Joann Mary McGuire (1958). Cherished mother of daughter Donna McGuire-Miller, son Rick and his wife Sandra. Treasured grandmother of Laura, Stephanie, Erica and Tyler. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Ruth La Liberte (nee McGuire) and brother-in-law Kenneth McGuire and his wife Claire. Formerly from Montreal, Alanna will be affectionately remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. To celebrate her life our family invites friends for visitation at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight North of the QEW) Burlington (905-632-3333) on Monday 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2265 Headon Road, in North Burlington on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. Private interment. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Alanna's memory may do so in the memory of her nephew "The Mark Sutherland Memorial Fund". Vigil for Alanna Tuesday, 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
