CARTER, Alan Kenneth (Al)Born of British parents in Winnipeg, Manitoba, May 3, 1933 and died on November 21, 2013 in Burnaby B.C. His parents returned to England early in his young life along with then, 4 siblings, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. He went to school there and the family increased with 3 more brothers. After leaving school, Al honed his career as a mechanic. He served with the British Army in Germany. After he was released from the forces, Al returned to Canada in 1956 and resided in Richmond, Vancouver and finally Burnaby. Al was predeceased by his parents, sister Dorothy, Brothers Les and Bill. He is survived by sister Peggy, Brothers Ted (Margaret), Brian (Maureen) and Ray, plus many nieces and nephews. Al worked tirelessly for the "Variety Club" as a volunteer for many many years and will be best remembered for his Annual "Dartathon Darts for Kids" in aid of the Variety Club's Annual Telethon. he will be sadly missed. There will be no service by request. A Celebration of life will be help in the near future.
