OLEAN - Aileen Marie Miller Frederick, formerly of Prosser Road, Portville, passed away at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Olean, on Friday (April 26, 2013) following a lengthy illness.Born May 20, 1925, in Olean, she was a daughter of the late Walter George and Evelyn Marie Walters Miller. On Sept. 5, 1942, in the St. Stephens Church Rectory, she married David Arthur Frederick, who passed away Aug. 15, 1975. For many years, Aileen and David lived in Buffalo. When he passed away, she returned to the area to live with her father on Prosser Road, Main Settlement. Aileen was employed at AM&As for many years until her retirement. She was a past member of the Eastern Star Portville and the Hawkeye Bowman's Club of Buffalo.Aileen and David had no children. She is survived by her twin sister, Arleen May Snyder Blauvelt, and her sister, Patricia Rhow of Jacksonville, Fla.; several nieces and nephews, including Kimberly S. Ford of Montclair, N.J., Gordon D. Ford of Olean, Robin Ann Snyder (Rickey) O'Mara of Georgia, Evelyn Marie Snyder (James) Davis of Roseville, Ohio, Linda May Snyder (John) Bartlett of Lisbon and Carl Lee (Kathleen) Snyder of Hinsdale.She was predeceased by her parents, her father in 1984 and her mother in 1975; a sister, Dolores Jean Ford, in 2012; and a brother, Donald R. Miller, in 1963. Family will receive friends at the Guenther Funeral Home, 51 S. Main St., Portville on Tuesday (April 30, 2013) from 10 a.m. to noon, at which time funeral and committal services will be held in the funeral home. The Rev. Curt MacDonald will officiate. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville. Memorials in Aileen's name may be made to the Cattaraugus County SPCA, P.O. Box 375, Olean, NY 14760.
