->CORINNA -- Agnes G. Simons, 93, died July 20, 2008 at a Dexter health-care facility following a long illness. She was born in Pemberton, N.J., April 6, 1915 the daughter of John and Luella (Denis) Grover. She was educated in New Jersey schools. Agnes moved to Maine in 1950 and worked with her husband, Russell, on the family farm. She took care of her family and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She is survived by one sister, Pearl Perrine of Browns Mills, N.J., her granddaughter and husband, Deborah and Daylan Parks, of Corinna, her grandson, Alan Hatch of Levant, two great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell, her daughter, Doris Lancaster, and her son, Russell Simons Jr. Agnes always looked forward to visits from her special nieces in New Jersey. Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday July 22, 2008 at the Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center, Newport. Graveside funeral services will be conducted10 a.m., Wednesday July 23, 2008 at the Corinna Center Cemetery with Pastor Al Worden officiating.
