AGNES RACHEL CYR (Nee Stevenson) December 3, 1912 February 22, 2012 This morning the Creator called to bring a much beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother to be with her beloved family in heaven. Predeceased by her loving husband Antoine (Tony), son Kenneth, grandson Clayton, great-grandaughter Racheal; sisters: Edith, Florence and Nora; brothers: William, Lawrence and Donald; parents Mathilda (McNab) and father Thomas and numerous other relatives. Left to mourn her passing is her sister Dora (Robert); daughter Ruth Ann; son Clayton (Lillian); daughter-inlaw Pauline; grandchildren: Annette (Ed), Ken (Tammy), Lara, Catherine, Neil and Nadean (Wendel); great-grandchildren: Anthony, Mycull, William (Tori), Samantha, Jacob, Kellie-Rae, Keegan, Courtney, Alicia, Tayler and Jacob; one great-greatgrandchild; special nieces Ella. Leona (Emile), Helen and Georgina; special nephews; Glen (Karen), Alvin and Robert and other relatives too numerous to mention. Agnes was well known and touched the lives of so many people, to some she was known as Boss, others by Aggie, but to most Kokum. She was one of the first women in Canada to be elected to council in 1947 and worked at the Fort Qu'Appelle Indian Hospital for over 25 years. After her retirement in 1977, she remained active in the community sitting on various boards as an Elder and at other levels including serving as a member of the First Nations Network on Disabilities working committee for 17 years. A celebration of Agnes' life will begin Monday, February 27, 2012 with a wake in the Chief Ben Pasqua Memorial Hall, Pasqua First Nation at 4:00 p.m. with Sister Bernadette Fiest officiating. Funeral mass to be celebrated in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Lebret, SK. at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 with Rev. Ronald Andree and Rev. Wojciech Wojtkowiak OMI. Interment in Asham Beach Cemetery. A while ago my sister Cathie had a dream where our grandfather Tony came to her and told her to tell grandma to hurry up, they were waiting and there was going to be a big dance when she got there............ Today grandma and grandpa are dancing together again in heaven with uncle Ken, Clayton Jr. and Rachel along with all the other angels. Online condolences may be made at www.tubmanfh.com .
