BRYANT- On Friday, November 17, 2006, Agnes Bryant, Indian Head, Sask., and late of Cochrane, Alberta passed way in Calgary, AB. at the age of 84 years. The funeral service will be held in St. Andrew's United Church, Indian Head, Sask.,. on Friday, November 24, 2006 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Dennis R. Irving officiating. Interment in Indian Head Cemetery. Agnes was born in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, England and immigrated to Canada in 1929 with her parents Thomas and Agnes Elliott. The family homesteaded near Pincher Creek, Alberta and Rockglen, Saskatchewan. Agnes moved to Indian Head around 1943 and was well known for her love of animals and for being a local Avon Representative for many years. Agnes was a active member of the Presbyterian Church in Indian Head until its closing and her move to Cochrane in 2004. Agnes was predeceased by her parents; first husband, Edgar Martin and her second husband Robert Bryant; three brothers: Jim, Jack and Thomas Elliott and her two son-in-laws: Lorne Hitchens and Tom McLeod. Agnes is lovingly survived by her children, Gloria Hitchens, Oliver, B.C.; Loretta Ball, Larry Martin and Verne Martin all of Grande Prairie, AB.; and Sheila Bryant, Cochrane, AB, as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. If friends so desire contributions to the Humane Society, Box 3143, Regina, Sask. S4P 3G7 may be tokens of remembrance.
