Annie Lou "Granny" Smith, 93, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at the home of her daughter.Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating will be Brother Bobby Amos and Brother Tommy James. Interment will be in Cherry Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Waco.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Shelby Smith; son, Charles Smith; daughter, Cathy Smith; parents, Jack and Ivy Willis; three brothers; and four sisters.She is survived by her children, Shelby and Teresa Smith, Faye and Kenneth (Stick) Smith; grandchildren, Angie and Jacky Hutcheson, Clarke Smith, Denise and Brian Woods, Jon and Amanda Smith, Tera and Justin Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Chase and Erica Hutcheson, Seth Woods, Emily Woods, Eli Smith, Sam Jacobs; great-great-grandchild, Averee Hutcheson; and a host of dearly loved nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Eli Smith and Sam Jacobs.The family would like to extend a special thanks to our angels from Hospice of North Alabama, Carol and Fadella, for all the love they showered on our family in our time of need.
