SISSON, ALYCE IDELLA Sisson, Alyce Idella Roberts, age 90, Birmingham, AL passed away January 24, 2013. Born in Birmingham a graduate of Woodlawn High School 1942 she also earned 3 Associate degrees from Jefferson State while in her sixties. She was employed with Bell Telephone in New York City during World War II. Her family was her life's work. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening and playing the piano and she was a long time member of Crestwood Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Sisson and they were married in 1944. Her parents John Richard and Lille Dale Roberts, Brothers Richard and Mark Roberts and Sister Eleanor Cook. She is survived by sons Gary Frank Sisson (Margaret) Richard Gregg Sisson (Phyllis) and Grandchildren Jennifer Sisson Saturday, Jeffery Sisson, Kevin Sisson and grandchild Jacob Christian Saturday, brother Rollin Roberts and a host of nieces and nephews. The Rev. Norman Stapp, officiating the service. Services will be held at Ridouts Trussville, visitation will be Monday January 28 from 5 pm to 7pm. Graveside service will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Tuesday at 1:00pm.
