COX, ALLEN G. "JR" - 87, of Powell passed away August 3, 2014. He was born at Fort Sanders November 17, 1926. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and established and owned a Super Kleen Laundry and Cleaner for 42 years. After selling his business he became a Walmart Greeter in Halls, where he could see and talk to all his friends and family. He was also a member of Gideons and Grace Community Church. Preceded in death by parents Allen G. Cox Sr. and Inez Fogelsong; first wife Eileen Tipton Cox and their youngest child Michael Lynn Cox; brothers David and George. Survived by wife Jackie Morris Cox; children Debrah Kay Smith, Douglas Lynn Cox, Allen G. Cox III, Cynthia Ann Sharp; step-children Michael R. Davich and Julie M. Marcum; grandchildren Shawn Cox, Shannon Burton, Greg Kennedy, Chandler Cox, Adler Cox, Tristen Cox, Jesse Marcum, Jaime Marcum, Michelle Davich, and Eythan Davich; 3 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law Janet Harb, Howard and Sandi Tipton, Howard and Loretta Cain, Janice and David Carter; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday 6:00-8:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow, Rev. Rick Shipley officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45 pm Friday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for 2:00 pm interment. www.mynattfh.com
