ALBERT R.KEEN, 97Lakeland Police Department LAKELAND - Albert R. Keen, 97, died September 14, 2012 at his home due to natural causes. He was born September 17, 2012 in Lakeland and was a life resident. Mr. Keen retired from the Lakeland Police Department after 33 years of service. He was also a member of Medulla Baptist Church and a member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #46. Mr. Keen was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Keen, parents Hampton C. Keen and Eugenia Kendrick Keen, his son H.C. Keen and his grandson Mark Keen. He is survived by his brother Robert Keen of Lakeland, daughter-in-law Mary Keen of Powell, TN., grandson Michael (Denise) Keen of Powell, TN, granddaughter in law Becky. Also surviving are his great grandchildren, Kayla Franse, Whitney Keen, Chase Keen and Taylor Keen. He is also survived by 4 great great grandchildren and his best friend and caretaker Mike Balestra. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 to 8 PM at Lakeland Funeral Home with funeral services to be held Thursday 10 AM from the graveside in Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
